The KPTA Board has combined the positions of Governmental Affairs Director and General Counsel so that one attorney-at-law firm may perform the duties and responsibilities of both offices.

The office of General Counsel is appointed by the Board of Directors, following the submission of a Request for Proposal to select an attorney or Law Firm to perform such duties as prescribed by the Board of Directors.  The Attorney will continue to hold the appointive office at the discretion of the Board or pursuant to the terms of any contract entered into between the Board and the Attorney.

The KPTA Board is pleased to appoint The Honorable Oliver H. Barber, L.L.C. to this position.  Barber will conduct legal matters and represent KPTA's interest in Governmental Affairs, at the discretion of the Board.
